Meet the PTW Board
Meet Ashley
Founder/Executive Director
My writing journey started as a personal blogger back in 2013. From there, I was able to build my way up to freelance writing for sites like Essence.com, The Cut, and others. And in 2022, landed myself a book deal with Simon & Schuster to release my debut novel Good Morning, Love. There was so much I had to figure out on my own about how to be a writer and I built this community to share that knowledge with others. So much of building a writing career is simply giving yourself permission to do it. We’re here to help other writers find their way, and give power to their words.
