Literary Patron Circle: Where established writers invest in the future.

A community of published writers investing in emerging Black voices. Literary Patrons help sustain PTW's programming while building connections with peers committed to the future of Black literature.

You remember what it was like - searching for community, needing guidance, wondering if your voice mattered. Someone believed in you. Someone made space for you. Now you can be that for the next generation.

The Literary Patron Circle is for published and established Black writers who want to do more than cheer from the sidelines. Your investment directly funds the workshops, stipends, and programs that give emerging writers what you needed when you were starting out.

For Your Craft & Career:

  • Quarterly Mastermind Calls - Connect with fellow published writers to discuss craft, share industry insights, and navigate the unique challenges of being an established Black author. These aren't networking calls - they're substantive conversations with peers who understand the journey.

  • Private Literary Patron Community - Direct access to fellow published Black writers in a dedicated space for real-talk conversations, resource sharing, and peer support

  • Quarterly Industry Office Hours - Rotating topics with publishing professionals (agents, editors, publicists, marketing experts). Ask questions, get insights, build your understanding of the industry. (Upcoming: Book Marketing Strategies for Black Authors)

  • Complete Video Archive Access - Hours of workshops, craft talks, and masterclasses to support your continued growth as a writer.

For Your Impact:

  • Quarterly Impact Reports - See exactly how your patronage translates into workshops funded, writers supported, and programs made possible. Full transparency on where your investment goes.

  • Literary Patron Recognition - Your profile featured on our dedicated Literary Patrons page, highlighting you, your work, and your commitment to the next generation of Black writers.

Your patronage directly funds:

  • Free programming for writers who couldn't otherwise afford it

  • Co-working sessions, craft talks, reading series, and writing challenges

  • Operational support that keeps Permission to Write sustainable and growing

This isn't charity. This is legacy-building. This is ensuring that ten years from now, there's still a space where Black writers can find community, grow their craft, and get their stories into the world.
